# OF TRAINING SESSIONS: One (1)
PROGRAM DURATION: up to 1 hour
LOCATION: Metairie, Covington, Ponchatoula or Kentwood
AGE: 12 - 20 weeks old (Puppies MUST have had their 2nd round of shots)
 
This includes one (1) 1 hour training session with a Trainer. They will introduce you and your pup to the foundation of basic obedience training that is positive reinforcement based.  This session is the best way to get you and your new pup off to a great start and to learn how to work with them at home, on your own time! Basic skills covered include sit, down, come when called, name recognition, taking treats gently, sitting politely for petting and leash walking. Prevention of the typical puppy behaviors such as jumping, mouthing and chewing will also be addressed in this class. We will go over crate training, housebreaking, socialization, help create a daily schedule, and help determine the best training course for your dog once it’s old enough to sign up for one of our programs.
